Meryll Rogge
Belgium-based Meryll Rogge is rekindling the staple with its unlikely mixes of materials, patterns, and ideas. The namesake designer—whose decade-long career includes stints at brands like Marc Jacobs and Dries Van Noten—launched the brand in 2020, setting up shop in her family’s Ghent barnhouse. The label’s collections witness the passé and commonplace with fresh and adoring eyes, adopting clichéd patterns and styles into a wardrobe of unconventional essentials like skirts that are cut to look like trousers or button-ups with hyperextended plackets and collars. Pairing wearability with intrigue, Meryll Rogge delivers designs that beckon nuanced self-expression.
